Lalit Saini functions as Subject Matter Expert for imaging-oriented life- and natural-sciences research and allied automation process optimisation for multiple organisations, following his dedicated role as Head of Engineering for Vraisense (a Swiss-based deeptech service company). Lalit by training is an electronics engineer specialised in electro-optical imaging sensors with highly coupled proficiency in imagery data science, algorithm development, automation and optimising operationally relevant artificial intelligence.
Lalit completed his Bachelor's in Electronics and Communication; Master's degree in Geoinformatics & Data Science; recently completed Certificate Course in Agrobiodiversity in a Changing Climate from Sapienza University of Rome and currently enrolled in Stanford-Lead program of Stanford University Graduate School of Business (GSB), Stanford, California, USA.
Lalit’s first hand trans-disciplinary experience enables him to concurrently & cohesively justify what, why, when, which less is more & which more is less important for operational research scenarios and to add significant value additions in the digital transformation domains of Life- & Earth-sciences.
Lalit’s sound exposure at the industry-academia interface with national and international centers of excellence of research around imaging-sensors, sensing-strategies, Data Management pipelines enables him to standardise & optimise the allied research processes and product-life-cycle at ease. The engagements in highly collaborative and trans-disciplinary research settings especially include the engineers, scientists, researchers, students, faculties, and other basic science experts from ISRO, IIRS, NASA, UN-OOSA, Syngenta, IARI and IPFT.
Lalit remains passionate in taking initiative to collaborate with international organizations, to volunteer for local and global forums, and that has allowed him to develop a global network of partners. Lalit’s experience allows him to work with multidisciplinary teams on an international scale and to open up to other fields such as investment, education technology and consulting. Lalit’s speech adapts to local populations, in academia and industry including engineers, scientists, doctors, science-faculty & students as well as decision-makers, although need much improvement for adapting to politicians and bureaucrats.
Some of Lalit’s major Technology & Functions include developing models and prototypes right from imaging sensor designing to correcting onboard payload artefacts; improving the data sensing acquisition platforms for better degree of freedom for maneuvering and acquisition; scientific selections of optimal configurations of detectors both for significantly reducing the post-processing data loads and characterising the target more precisely; development of data-curating, -processing, -analysis, and -management pipelines the data for high throughput research and operational environments; scientifically integrating, standardising, optimising and multiplexing the natural- as well as artificial-cognitions for allied and reliable artificial intelligence.
Creating significant value additions for industry & academia research domains associated with Agriculture, Agrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare-Diagnostics, and Geosciences (Rock, Soil, Snow, Ocean, Forest and Space). Collaboration for collective and in-house capacity development, especially for scenarios where precise- & transdisciplinary-engineering are among the core Technology & Functions for generating machine-cognition, -learning, -recognition and -adaptation towards collective and autonomous intelligence.
